Most people would ask; "How do you fit dinosaurs into the Bible?"
This would begin a thought process of using an interpretation of a fact (dinosaurs)
and then trying to fit them into the Bible. The correct answer is: you don't fit
dinosaurs into the Bible. You open your Bible and make sense of what God said He
put on this earth for man to have dominion over. The word dinosaur wasn't spoken
until the 18th century and its meaning was "terrible lizard". It
would seem that the Bible refers often to these creatures, for instance: every living
creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, living creatures,
creeping things and beast of the earth, are described in Genesis 1:21,24. God's language
to us explains many different kinds of land and sea creatures. If you look around,
there are thousands of different kinds all over the world. When a scientist travels
out into the field he brings with him a way of thinking based on what he has been
taught. How scientists interpret any discovery is proportional to the bias they have.
Fact, any consideration outside of observable, testable, and provable science can
only be a theory.
The world is covered with fossil graveyards of creatures
that recently roamed the earth. Many of these graveyards contain dinosaur fossils.
It seems to be quite simple, if dinosaurs recently roamed the earth obviously they
were part of God's creation not fallible man's evolutionary theories. Only a catastrophy
could have quickly buried these creatures, along with animals and plants preserving
them perfectly. At this point we would be able to open our Bible, read about God's
judgement and then go out into the world and find the evidence. There are other passages
throughout Scripture that explain in detail that "terrible lizards"
could only have been dragons and dinosaurs. By the way have you ever read
any dragon legends or seen any pictures of Indian cave drawings showing man and dinosaurs
together? Have you seen the latest discovery of a T-rex bone that still had red
cells in tact? How could it be millions of years old? Did you know that they find
many creatures alive today that they claim have been extinct for millions of years?
Guess what, when they do they call it a living fossil...
Dinosaurs in the beginning? What does the Bible say? "Behold
now behemoth which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. He moveth his
tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His
bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron."
(Job 40:15,17-18 KJV) Dragons in the beginning? What does the Bible say? "Canst
thou draw out leviathan with a hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest
down? His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal. Out
of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. Out of
his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron." (Job
41:1,15,19-20 KJV) We are all complex organisms made from an Intelligent Designer.
Before sin entered the world the garden was a place of peace for all to share and
enjoy. The Bible is a record of history of all that has happened from the creation
to current times. It also tells about the world's future.
"And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:24-25) If we were all vegetarians in the beginning and God told us to eat plants, fruits, and vegetables, having sharp teeth would definately be an advantage. Most bears throughout the world eat plants, fruits, and vegetables; it is not an uncommon fact even though they have sharp teeth. It would seem that the way they were designed suits the environment most kinds of bears have adapted to since the worldwide flood. Panda bears have always eaten bamboo. It would seem that you would need pretty sharp teeth to eat bamboo. We also know God created Pandas so they could eat bamboo, which would fit the way we would observe their eating habits today. Some animals need to have sharp teeth to break food down more effectively which would help them to digest food more efficiently. Have you ever tried to eat something that wasn't quite ripe enough yet? I'm sure you'd see why certain plant eaters would be better suited with sharp teeth, especially if they hadn't eaten for a day or so and all there was to eat was unripened fruit or vegtables. What about fruit bats? If you looked at a photo of just their teeth you would be amazed at how sharp God designed them. To this day there are many different kinds of creatures all over the earth that have sharp teeth that do not eat meat. "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so." (Genesis 1:29-30)
