The world's environment was different before the Flood. Many scientists have
concluded that the early earth (about six thousand years ago to right before the
Flood) had a significantly higher oxygen level than current levels today. A water
canopy around the earth would support this. Higher levels would have been very beneficial
to all living creatures and in a pre-flood world, this canopy would have protected
all forms of life from harmful radiation that the sun emits. This would in-turn change
the rate of decay and all of the findings of todays dating methods that are used.
Carbon or radioactivity comes from the sun - everything on earth absorbs it: people,
plants, animals, and of course, dinosaurs. Not only do we absorb it throughout life
we also absorb it when we eat any type of vegetation, or we eat an animal that ate
any type of vegetation. The amount of C-14/C-12 entering the atmosphere is balanced
with the amount leaving (decay). If a scientist does not know the exact date of
of a specimen, than they can only assume that the rate of consumption of C-14/C-12
has allways been consistantly entering the specimen. The pre-flood environment was
made to preserve and protect all life, if carbon-14 is distructive than it would
have had to have been filtered out somehow. This would also explain the long life
spans in the first 2,000 years.
Measurments taken today show this rate is
still increasing which would only date our atmosphere less than 30,000 years without
consideration to a pre-flood world. When something dies the C-14/C12 that was absorbed
to that point starts to decay, or leave the body, and after aproximately 40,000 to
50,000 years it's gone. Again, when dating something if consideration was given to
the environment of a pre-flood world than the inaccuracies of this method would explain
why they come up with more than 6,000 years, but the fact remains that carbon-14
method is still only able to give dates in the thousands of years not the millions
of years required to fit the evolution theory. Did you know that many times these
methods are used on the same specimen and they get two different readings - sometimes
thousands of years apart? You tell me how one end of something could be thousands
of years older than the other end! How accurate are these dating methods anyway?
When they have tried to date a specimen, knowing exactly when it died,
they get readings thousands to millions of years more. But those conclusions are
not included in their findings for fear of embarrasment to their theory. Evolutionists
are using a rubber ruler and calling it factual science.
The world that Adam
and Eve shared was like a greenhouse - a spring-like, tropical environment year around.
In so many ways we can see that the pre-flood earth was very different from today's
earth and rightly so. In the pre-flood world birds flew in an open firmament between
the waters and a protective water (vapor) canopy: "And God made the firmament,
and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were
above the firmament: and it was so." (Genesis 1:7 KJV) "And God
said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath
life, and the fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven."(Genesis
1:20 KJV) "These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they
were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens."
(Genesis 2:4 KJV) God saw everything He had made and it was very good.
The Bible makes sense of all the information that has been gathered to support a 6 - day Creation. There has been a great deal of research done on this issue from many viewpoints and all agree that the Bible supports 6 - 24 hour days. The Bible also tells us about dinosaurs, animals, and man how they all lived together in the garden peacefully until Adam and Eve sinned and sin entered the world. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and by sin; and so passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." (Romans 5:12 KJV). "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." (1 Corin. 15:22 KJV). Understand that each day from Genesis 1:1 - 2:3 has an evening, a morning, and a number - first day, second day, etc. If you tried to add thousands, millions, or even billions of years to any part of Genesis you are not taking God's word as written. You would have to compromise Scripture and include in a theory that there was before sin, cancer, disease, fossils and extinction all under the Garden of Eden. That would not be very good. Remember, God made every thing in six days, rested on the seventh, and it was very good. One of the commandments written by the very finger of God said: "For in six days the LORD made the heaven and the earth, the sea and all that is, and rested on the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. " (Exodus 20:11) God communicates to us in a specific manner: evening, morning, number, day; evening, morning, number, day; etc.). As you read Genesis 1:1-31and 2:1-4 (in the Authorized Version-King James 1611-God's infallible word to us in English) the language defines six days of work and one day of rest to observe the Sabbath. God could have made everything in one second, but then we wouldn't have a seven day week. In addition, God also gave us a month based on the moon's cycle, and Earth's orbit around the sun gives us our year.
